Bradford turned orange for National Supported Internship Day!
Coleman Training Development visited Bradford City Hall to watch the lights turn orange for National Supported Internships Day. On the 27th March the team and interns wore orange and created an orange display which grew larger and larger throughout the day!
🔸Did you see #Bradford turn orange on Thursday?🔸
This was because Thursday 27th March was National Supported Internships Day!
We celebrated by inviting everyone to come dressed in something orange and somehow managed to collect 85 orange objects for our display (it just kept growing and growing!) 🍊🥕
The PI's collaborated on a project discussing why this day is important and highlighted really imported key points such as:
🗣"There is not enough recognition of supported internships,"
"I like the opportunity to go on work experience and I feel supported doing this," and "Supported internships help ease people into work. You also learn life skills."
"If I wasn't here I'd just be sitting at home." 🗣
After a productive working day, the team then went out for dinner to watch the light switch on at 6.30pm.
💡City Hall looked majestic in the dusk-light and it was a really proud moment for everyone involved with Supported Internships across Bradford. 💡
Did you do anything special for International Supported Internship Day? Tell us in the comments! 👇
🔸Thank you to Bradford City Council for listening and arranging the light switch-on, and another congrats to Morgan at CTD for making it happen!🔸
