Fair Work Charter Conference

Coleman Training Development went to the Fair Work Charter conference at Bradford City Hall. This event is aimed at employers across West Yorkshire working with disabled employees.

Coleman Training Development are registered with the Fair Work Charter in West Yorkshire, developed by W.Y Mayor, @TracyBrabin

Did you know that in 2024 the Disability Employment Rate was as low as 53%? Compared to non-disabled employees at 83.6%. Those with a learning disability known to the authorities was as low as 5.1%.

This is a statistic we want to improve! We need to do better!

It was heartening to see other employers at last week's conference wanting to improve these statistics as well.

The Fair Work Charter means all staff should expect to be treated fairly in every aspect of their employment, and lead healthy, happy lives in the workplace and out of it. If your company hasn't registered yet you can read more here:

Thank you to Our West Yorkshire Mayor Tracy Brabin and Calderdale for hosting such a positive, forward-looking event.
